pumpkin pie smoothie


Happy first day of October! Last week I decided to attempt a pumpkin flavored smoothie. It came out great, and I got some requests for the recipe, so here it is!

In the blender:

  • half a frozen banana
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1/4 heaping teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • a small squirt of honey or pure maple syrup
  • and enough almond milk (or any milk) to submerge everything!
  • optional: ground flaxseed, chia seeds, and/or vanilla protein powder for extra health benefits

Tips: If you want to make a pumpkin frappuccino, swap half the almond milk for cold brewed coffee. For an easy clean up, blend your smoothie in a mason jar!
